C William Perkins grew up in Madison, WI.
He attended the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point where he met and worked with Patrick Rothfuss, editing his Annotated, Illustrated College Survival Guide. He was also an editor for Barney Street, a publication of local poetry, stories and art. Stevens Point is also where he first met Doug Arthur and experimented with a variety of indie comics they never finished. After graduating, he married his wife Karen and spent a few years in Philadelphia where Lorna Lockheed was first conceived as a writing experiment. He currently lives in Minnesota along the Mississippi River where he writes in his spare time. Twentieth Century Eve contains the first three Lorna Lockheed adventures and don't worry, Future Fans, he's got plenty more where those came from! In 2016 he launched the interview site Aeronautics Anonymous, a place where you can meet some of steampunk's newest up and coming authors while they are still gracious enough to give him the time of day. Besides Aeronautics Anonymous and Captain's Blog, he also does reviews of other steampunk indie writers at Steampunk-Reviews and Steampunk Journal. Slide over to Reviews for his personal favorites. |
